Kahana has two note surfaces. Hub notes travel with the pack you share. Personal notes stay yours across hubs.

Hub notes
Inside a hub you own or collaborate on, add notes for intros, reading guides, and curriculum. Members of that hub see them with the files.
In Settings → Notes you can pick Blocks or Classic (TinyMCE) as the hub notes editor.
Personal notes
Open kahana.io/notes for notes that are not tied to one hub listing. These are not a public blog.
Smart links
Insert or open links to a hub, file, author, or club from a note. That is how a reading guide points at the real artifact.
Limits
- Listed hub notes are part of what people with access can read.
- Personal notes do not appear on Library.
- Notes generally do not count toward the counted-upload quota. Files still do.
